Under the baton of Luiz Fernando Malheiro, the Corpo de Dança do Amazonas and the Coral do Amazonas will be accompanied by the Amazonas Filarmônica.  Heitor Villa-Lobos brought avant-garde techniques from Europe and undertook the challenge of transplanting Brazilian folklore melodies and rhythms to his symphonic compositions.  This performance is sure to be one of the many highlights of our tour.
