We begin our celebration of Wagner's masterpiece by attending the International Ring Symposium. Topics to include Family Values in Valhalla: Psychological and musicological insights into opera's most famous dysfunctional family as discussed by three celebrated interpreters - James Morris, Jane Eaglen, and John Treleaven! Featured panelists also include stage director Herbert Kellner, who collaborated closely with the late August Everding on his conception and direction of the Ring, plus three renowned authors and speakers, each with special areas of Wagner expertise - the University of Chicago's David Levin, Indiana University's Marc Weiner, and Simon Williams from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
